Amazing you have the No. 1 (BTW) and No. 3 team (Guthrie) in the state on side of the bracket before the semi's and you have No. 2 (Carl Albert) and a top 5 team in another (Bixby) before the semi's.
Those games are classic semi-final games and not quarterfinal games. Understood, you have to face them sometimes, but lets build drama week to week.
Carl Albert may be happy to be on the other side of BTW and Guthrie, but beware of Bixby (beat CA last year in Tulsa) and Lawton Mac. Having said that Titans appear to be heading to the state title game.
However, according to the GSP Poll, many are predicting a Shawnee win over Mac. It has some legs for sure to happen, but I am going with Mac on this one.

its not so bad that guthrie has 2 play BTW, but i didtn wanna have 2 go to their house round 2, to do it. just seems so unfair that guthrie is gonna have 2 sweat blood 2 get 2 the semi's while el reno could possibly ride the pony all the way there. we should be rewarded for a good season, instead its the other way around... but what a better feeling 2 go to BTW and beat them at their house

High School is different when it comes to home field advantage then it is with college or NFL, I believe.
For example, when Guthrie went to Carl Albert this year and last year I did not get the notion that CA had an advantage. If anything, I believe the Guthrie crowd may have been more vocal and supportive then the other side.
I think the biggest factor in that is that Guthrie is a community where Carl Albert and Booker T are basically city school's. The only fans Carl Albert and Booker T that show up are school personel, students, and family members of the players.
In towns like Guthrie, Shawnee, Durant, Ardmore, and El Reno they have all of those mentioned above as well as their supportive community, in my very humble opinon.
The Jays defintely have an interesting road, but you can't get to the highway yet. You got to get through the country roads first with Deer Creek and Deer Creek will bring their fair share of fans too.

Enjoy Mr. Evans for as long as you can Guthrie fanatics, because someday he will be on Television or doing something else that he will no longer be able to keep up with the Guthire Sports page. It will be a sad day for the community, but its gonna happen. Were lucky to have you and you dont get enough credit, keep up the good work Greeny and well talk in the future. Britard 22 BTW i think you are very intelligent, take that for what its worth, i love reading your posts. Go Blue, I am just alfredeinstein so what do i know
