Bluejays, I'm confused? I know that we as Guthrie Bluejays pride ourselves in being the best. I want to know why Softball, Junior High Softball in particular is taking a backseat in the sports program. We have a great group of Softball Athletes this year. They're currently preparing for the start of the season with no Coach. We have parents and volunteers coaching the girls at this time. And with the limited resources, no coach, etc, the Guthrie Junior High Softball team will kick butt. Just thought that everyone should know. We get wrapped up in Football/Basketball/Baseball and the other sports get the shaft.

That's every other school in the state though too that has football.
Softball and baseball bring in little to no profit for the schools. Compared to football, who can single handed fund most other athletics, such as softball, soccer, etc. in a couple of friday nights and still have plenty of funds to get a new turf.
